Description:

The Propane Education and Research Council (PERC) is a national nonprofit organization that believes everyone should have access to clean and affordable energy, and that propane provides one of the fastest routes to reducing emissions while meeting a range of energy needs—today and into the future.

Our mission is to inform, educate, and share our expertise and innovations with homeowners, business owners, and our professional partners. We ensure safe usage across a number of sectors including residential construction, where propane provides heat, hot water, and power for homes across the country. We also facilitate studies and funding in commercial construction, agriculture, transportation, power generation, and more.

Propane is a nontoxic, environmentally friendly energy source that will not contaminate soil or groundwater. It has a lower carbon intensity than diesel, gasoline, and electricity from the U.S. grid on average. Because it is affordable, reliable, versatile, and safe for use at work, on the road, and at home, propane is the energy for everyone.
